How to Create A Bodycare Routine

We’ve all heard about skincare and the importance of finding products that are safe and clean to apply to our faces. Skincare is all the rave lately, as we see products take off on social media and fly off the shelves. We are all for skincare; it’s why we launched our latest skincare trio, but we’ve always been about bodycare.

Bodycare involves taking the same amount of dedication that we put into skincare, into taking care of our full body. It’s about taking care of the rest of the skin on our bodies because it too, also withstands external factors such as pollution, UV rays from the sun, and it ages with us. We believe bodycare is an essential piece of self-care and wanted to share a few ways we’ve created strong bodycare routines that make us feel good and keep our skin glowing!

Starting With Natural Bodycare

The first step to creating a bodycare routine is finding the products that are right for you. What you put on your body matters especially because of how absorbent your skin is. Read the ingredient labels on products you shop for to ensure they are free of artificial ingredients, artificial fragrances, and parabens. The labels will also have badges or icons that will display whether or not the product is cruelty-free or vegan. At Little Moon Essentials, all our products are made with 100% natural ingredients and are free of artificial fragrances and parabens. We are also Leaping Bunny certified and plastic-neutral through our work with rePurpose Global.

Creating a Routine

Once you’ve found the right products for you, figure out what kind of routine you would like. Are you looking for something in-depth, or something quick that only takes a few minutes of your day? A quick routine is our go-to for daily bodycare, but every once in a while we believe in splurging and going the extra mile. Here is what our detailed bodycare routine looks like:

Start by using the Tired Old Ass body oil and placing a small amount on the legs and arms. Depending on your preference, use a dry brush or body roller and start at your feet, moving your way up your body. Move the brush or roller in gentle, upward movements.

When you’re done, hop in a warm shower and begin your normal shower routine. When you’re ready, use a Little Moon Essentials sugar scrub to gently exfoliate the body. Be careful, as this may leave the surface of your shower slippery. Rinse off with soap and water when you are done exfoliating.

After the shower, pat dry your body and apply either a Little Moon Essentials lotion or vegan body butter to help hydrate and soften the skin.
