Our closest neighbor has a lot more influence on our lives than we think! Ocean tides, women's cycles, and established agricultural rules are some of the more well-known features of our celestial companion. Here are some of the lesser known:

The Full Moon phase of influence actually begins 3 days before the actual full moon date, the exact date, and 3 days afterwards.

Full Moons are about expansion - like our entire planet is breathing in fully. Everything peaks, grows, and expands its influence- even negative thoughts, so watch what you allow to expand!

Full Moons are a great time to try removing warts, blackheads, old tissue - it sounds gross, but this is the time to pray them away.

Stimulants and aphrodisiacs are most effective on the Full Moon - everything that nourishes the body is taken in, expands and works better at this time, including herbs and vitamins.

The full moon is the best time to donate blood as it is in highest concentration then.

Ancient marital ceremonies were performed during the full moon as it is a fertile time for many women, but also because it is a perfect time for great, expansive love.

Full Moons are notorious for producing more emergency room visits, births, and violent crimes. They don't call 'em LUNATICS for nothing. Blood flows easiest at this time, as well - so no surgeries or dental work are advised.

If you have a problem with moodiness or restlessness around the full moon, make sure you are not sleeping directly in the moonlight, even inside your room.

the I-Ching, psychic consultations and other metaphysical phenomena are likely to be more effective and reliable at these times.

Children conceived in the moonlight may be crazier, and prone to sleep-walking.

Plant everything that bears fruit above ground, especially annual plants during the waxing, growing moon. Plant the underground-bearing plants and roots during the dark or waning moon.
